Race 4 at Brands Hatch delivered another standout performance for Bowler Racing, with John Bowler (#14) securing his second podium of the weekend with a composed drive to P2.
Starting from P3 on the inside of the second row, Bowler made a strong and controlled launch, holding position through the opening laps while under immediate pressure from Dave Jenkins. The early stages suggested a tight multi-car battle, but a moment of contact between Nathan Smith and Jenkins on Lap 2 briefly relieved the pressure, giving Bowler valuable breathing room.
The race took a decisive turn on Lap 5, when race leader N. Yates lost momentum through Graham Hill Bend. This opened the door for Michael Oliver and Bowler to capitalise, promoting Bowler into P2.
From there, the pressure returned, with Jenkins closing in and applying sustained pressure throughout the remainder of the race. Bowler responded with a disciplined defensive drive, holding firm under attack and maintaining position in a tense closing phase.
With just over two minutes remaining, a safety car was deployed following an incident involving Cole, who was left stranded on circuit after a trip through the gravel. The race ultimately finished under safety car conditions, securing Bowler a well-earned second-place finish.
The result marks Bowler’s second podium of the weekend, underlining both consistency and racecraft, and further rewarding the team’s efforts in front of a strong home crowd.
